Five wines from Madrid awarded in the Bacchus 2019 international competition

Five wines from the Denominación de Origen Vinos de Madrid have been awarded at the 2019 Bacchus International Competition, organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters with the support of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).

Two wines from Madrid were awarded wirth the Bacchus de Oro, Las Moradas-Initio, from Viñedos San Martín, and 750, from Bodegas Nueva Valverde. And with the Bacchus de Plata were distinguished Pedro García Malvar, from Bodegas y Viñedos Pedro García, Tierra Calma La Nueva Selección, from Tierra Calma, and Grego Tempranillo-Syrah, from Vinos Jeromín.

In addition, the Denominación de Origen Vinos de Madrid signed a record turnover in exports last year, with 2.3 million euros. It also established its best brand in number of bottles sold with a total of 4 million.
